Aradhana Verma!

"Good morning, Papa. Goodmorning Mama," I greeted them as I walked towards the dining room for breakfast.

Papa was still reading the newspaper and mama was setting the table for our breakfast.

"Good morning, Aaru," Papa said and I walked towards him and gave him a sloppy kiss on his cheek, making him glare at me. Ha ha. Call me a child. I don’t care. Because I am a baby when it comes to my parents.

"Aaru, did you brush your teeth?" Mama asked and I shot a sheepish smile at her.

“After coffee, Mama.” I said cheekily and Mama glared at me.

“I won’t give you even a single drop of water without brushing your teeth. Go brush your teeth, comb your hair and come down. Look at you! If someone comes in now, they will think that some lunatic has trespassed into our home.” Mama said, looking at me.

Okay, I may not be looking perfect as soon as I wake up. But who does?

“I am hungry, Mama..” I whined as I sat cross legged on the couch and looked at Mama with pleading eyes.

“Of course you are hungry. Else you wouldn’t be down here without me having to try at least ten times to wake you up. No coffee and food without freshening up. Go!” Mama said sternly and I glared at papa.

“Control your wife!” I hissed at Papa, who sat there as if he couldn’t hear the argument going on between Mama and me.

“Mr Samar Verma, I am your only daughter. Your little princess. You should take my side when your wife decides to treat me like her step daughter.” I said, as I stood in front of him, hands on my hips.

“If I speak now, she wouldn’t give me breakfast either. So do me a favor. Go freshen up and come.” Papa said, making me huff in annoyance. I stomped my foot on the floor and went to my room to brush my teeth.

Oh, by the way, I am the one and only Verma Princess.

Aradhana Verma. The only daughter of business tycoon Samar Verma and the leading lawyer Ganga Verma.

Well,  I am the only daughter of the whole Verma family. The only granddaughter of Tej Verma and Savitri Verma. And the only sister for my dear dear cousin brothers.

Papa has four elder brothers. All of them have a son each. We all are single children, so we are a tight knit group. And me being the only sister and the youngest one, I am spoiled crazily by everyone in the family.

But I am not a spoiled bimbo. I am smart and talented. You will get to know soon.

I quickly brushed my teeth, washed my face and pulled my hair into a messy ponytail before rushing back down.

"Samar, come and have breakfast..." Mama called out for papa. Oh yeah, he is still reading the newspaper. What is there to read so much? Whatever it is, I am sure I must have seen it on social media last night itself.

"Papa, I am starving. Come on...." I said, as I snatched the newspaper from him and dumped it on another couch.

"I am coming..” He said, letting out an exasperated sigh and I gave a loud kiss on his cheek, making him roll his eyes. I looped my arms around his and together we went to the dining room, where Mama was already seated.

"Aaru, get ready after breakfast. We are having a business meeting today." Papa said and I scowled at him.

"I just finished college a week ago. I need a break. At least a month. I promise I will start working after that. Please papa," I gave him my best puppy eyes. It usually works on him, but today it doesn't seem to be working....
All my brothers joined the company as soon as they stepped out of college. And the same was expected of me too. But I need a break. After all, I did a double degree. I deserve a break.

"No excuses, Aaru. Today's meeting is very very important. We need to crack the deal. You are my heiress. So you need to learn a lot. Besides, all your brothers are abroad for different business purposes. So you need to come with me today. After today's meeting you can have your one month break." Papa said and I reluctantly nodded.

As it is, I won’t receive a princess treatment at the office. I will have to start as an intern, without letting anybody know that I am a Verma. My family had always kept me out of the media's eyes. So, there are no chances of anybody identifying me either.

Well, just a meeting right? After that I can have my much needed break.

"Papa. There is a new model of Petek Phillippe's wrist watch. I want that. Can you buy it for me? It's a limited edition, Papa." I asked him sweetly.

"Another watch, Aaru?" Mama asked, glaring at me, but I ignored her and stared at papa with a pout.

I am a bit brand obsessed.

"I will get it for you, Aaru. But you have to be an active participant in today’s meeting." Papa said....

"Sure papa," I said, smiling widely. I know even if I don't go to the meeting, he will still buy me the watch for me. He is such a sweetheart. The best papa in the world. And I am the luckiest girl alive to have such a loving family who would do anything for me.

"With whom are we doing business, Papa. Why is the deal so important?" I asked a bit curiously, because Papa is forcing me to do something. He doesn’t usually force me for anything.

"Vertex Global," Papa said, and that caught my interest.

"Vertex Global. You mean the recently launched joint venture of Oberois and Saxenas?" I asked, just for confirmation.

"Yes,” Papa said.

The guys behind the Vertex Global are like idols in our university. They all graduated from our university and there was always news about them circulating hot in our college. Well, along with my brothers. But nobody except the principal and a few professors knew my real identity.

These guys were geniuses. Their research papers were our study materials.

They are known as the most ruthless and coldest men in the business circle. No one dares to mess with them...

The three Oberoi heirs - Mihir, Harshad and Parag, and the Saxena heir, Vansh.

My brothers did their studies with them too. But I have never met any of them in person. Didn’t even attend the three weddings that happened recently. The eldest Oberoi and youngest Oberoi got married recently and Preeti Oberoi, the only Oberoi daughter, got married to Vansh Saxena.

The middle brother is single. Apparently, he is not interested in settling down!

Harshad Oberoi!

Anyways, all these are none of my business. I just have to attend today’s meeting and then enjoy the rest of the break with my bestie.

I took a quick shower and got ready, wearing blue jeans with a tucked in white shirt and a blue and white striped jacket along with my blue pointed heels. I am wearing minimal makeup. I am not a fan of heavy makeup. And at the risk of being called a narcissist, I am gorgeous.

Okay, Aaru! Time to go…
