Arohi's pov

I opened the door apprehensively to find a dishevelled Kashinath standing there.

"What?" I snapped at him.

Who would knock on someone's door so loudly at midnight.

"My daughter is missing," he said angrily, making me frown.

"She is sleeping, Mr Agnivanshi," I said.

"No. She isn't. I checked her room, she isn't there. It is your responsibility to look after her. Where did she go?" He asked frantically.

I stepped aside and opened my bedroom door wide, and pointed at the figure lying on my bed.

His eyes widened when he spotted his daughter sleeping peacefully on my bed.

"What is she doing in your bed?" He asked with a frown.

"Please step out of the room, Mr Agnivanshi. At this rate, you will wake her up." I said and slightly pushed him out of my bedroom, and I myself walked out and closed the door behind me.

"Now to answer your question, she couldn't sleep, so she asked me if she could sleep with me. I said yes." I told him with a casual shrug of my shoulder.

I looked at him and saw that he wasn't listening to me anymore.

He was staring at me.

And belatedly I got aware of my near nakedness.

Dear God!

In reaction to his heated stare, I could feel my nipples getting hard and I know he could see it too, through the flimsy excuse of a tee shirt I am wearing.

My heart quickened its pace and now it was making a tattoo against my ribcage.

Uh oh! He must definitely be able to hear the loud beating of my heart.

"Arohi," he called out huskily.

The mere word felt like a caress over my skin and my whole body shuddered as if he touched me.

The next moment I was in his arms and he was passionately kissing me.

Third person's pov

It was instinct, pure, raw instinct, that had him grabbing her close.

He speared his fingers through those dark curls, pulled her head back and kissed her with all the pent-up frustration, desire and, yeah, even temper that was clawing at him.

Surprised, it took her only a second or two to react. Arohi wrapped her arms around his waist and moved in even closer.

Kashinath’s head exploded at the first, incredible taste of her. And then he wanted more.

A groan slid from her throat, and that sound fed the flames enveloping him.

He’d had no idea what kissing her would do to him. He’d been thinking about this for days, and having her in his arms made him want the feel of her skin beneath his hands.

All he could think was to get her clothes off her. To cup her breasts, to take each of her nipples into his mouth and listen to the whimpering sounds of pleasure she would make as he took her.

He wanted to look down into those green eyes and watch them go blind with passion. He wanted to feel her hands sliding across his skin, holding him tightly to her.

His kiss deepened farther, his tongue tangling with hers in a frenzied dance of desire.

Arohi clung to him, letting him know in the most primal way that she felt the same. That her own needs and desires were pushing at her.

He took her deeper, held her tighter and spun her around toward the closest couch.

Heart pounding, breath slamming in and out of his lungs, he kept his mouth fused to hers as he laid her down on the wide, soft cushions and followed after, keeping her close to his side.

She arched up, back bowing as he ran one hand up and down the length of her. All he could think about was touching her skin, feeling the heat of her.

Then slid his hand down, across her abdomen, feeling her shiver with every inch of flesh he claimed. His fingers slipped beneath the band of her shorts and she lifted her hips as he moved to cup her heat.

"Kashi," she moaned out and her soft whispered sound rattled him.

With a curse, Kashinath pulled himself away from her.

Arohi's pov!

Oh dear God!

What the hell had just happened?

I have always imagined my first kiss to be a sweet and tender one.

And here I am.

Kissing, Kashinath Agnivanshi, my boss, out of all the people in the world. And kissing him passionately.

What the hell was I even thinking!

How could I have made such an error of judgement.

I should have slapped him the moment he touched me.

Was it he who touched me or was it me?

I can't remember!!

All I could still remember is the heated passion that burst out between us.

It was positively flaming!

At least for me.

I looked up and saw he was running his fingers furiously through his already dishevelled hair.

"It was a mistake. Something that shouldn't have happened at all," I spoke, before he could say the same words and yet another rejection hit me.

No! I wouldn't stand for that.

It would hurt less when I am the one doing the rejection.

His head whipped towards me at such a speed, I was worried he had sprained his neck.

He was staring at me in disbelief.

"Come again?" He asked, the disbelief evident in his voice.

"Whatever happened now! It was a mistake. It's a little after midnight and I was too disoriented to think about what I am doing." I said tartly.

"Really? You expect me to believe this rubbish?" He asked, with an all knowing smirk.

Bloody arrogant man!

He is too confident about his own charms to believe the outright lie I spat just now.

"I don't have time and energy to waste arguing with you, Mr. If you haven’t realised yet, midnight has passed." I said.

"Listen. We will do a post mortem of what just happened later. Now, I need to tell you something very important," he said, looking straight into my eyes.

"What?"

"Marry me, Arohi," he said, shocking the living lights out of me.
