"Why do you care?" He asked with a sardonic chuckle, making me wince.
"Why do I care? How can you ask that? Why shouldn't I care? Are you that blind, Aryamann? Don’t you see that I am falling for you?" I asked, looking straight into his eyes with my heart in my eyes.
I am not going to hide my feelings anymore. I simply can't.
He let out another humourless chuckle.
"Falling for me?" He asked with an edge to his voice.
"You are not falling for me, Bhumi. You are simply falling for the luxurious life you are living now. You are falling for the money I have." He said in a cold tone and I felt numb all over.
"Is that what you think of me, Aryamann? After all this time spent together, is that what you think about me?" I asked, my voice breaking with every word I utter.
How could he even think of me like that?
"You agreed to this for money, Bhumi. All this pretence is for money. You are nothing but a gold digger," he said and I felt something break inside me.
